In the first half of 2017 Transneft Diascan diagnosed more than 25 thousand km of Transneft pipelines

In the first half of 2017 Transneft Diascan diagnosed 25,243.6 km of Transneft pipelines using pipeline inspection gadgets (PIGs) of its own production. This volume included 22,050.6 km of trunk oil pipelines (OTP) and 3,193 km of petroleum products trunk pipeline (PPTP). These indicators are consistent with the diagnostic survey plan for 2017.

The major part of oil pipelines’ diagnostics was performed at the TOP of Transneft Far East, LLC (3,969.5 km), Transneft Siberia, JSC (3,683.6 km) and Transneft – East, LLC (3,059.5 km). As for the diagnosis of PPTP, the company diagnosed the sites of Transneft Druzhba, JSC (1,187.5 km), Transneft Baltic, LLC (934.4 km) and Transneft-Upper Volga, JSC (717.8 km).

In the first half of 2017, in-line diagnostics resulted in 283 technical reports, including 206 reports on OTP and 77 on PPTP. The defects detected during the diagnosis are being eliminated during routine maintenance work.

Transneft Diascan operates a wide range of multi-channel geometry tools, equipped with a navigation module, ultrasonic flaw detectors WM and CD, magnetic flaw detectors MFL and TFI, combined magnetic flaw detectors and combined magnetic-ultrasonic flaw detectors, as well as flaw detectors for detecting random-oriented defects. According to its technical parameters, a number of PIGs manufactured by Transneft Diascan are unique and have no analogues in the world.
